All on 4 Dental Implants Vancouver: Cost, Process & Is It Right for You?

All-on-4 dental implants Vancouver treatment option with implant-supported full arch restoration

If you are searching for all on 4 dental implants in Vancouver, you need a stable solution to replace missing or failing teeth. All-on-4 is a fixed full-arch dental implant treatment that uses four dental implants to support a complete set of teeth.

The main questions most patients have about four dental implants Vancouver are simple: Am I a good candidate? How does the treatment work? How much does it cost? The answer depends on your oral health, bone condition, medical history, and the type of final restoration you choose.

At Hemlock Dental Clinic, Dr. Farahnaz Alavi, DDS evaluates each patient individually with a detailed examination and CBCT imaging to determine whether All-on-4 may be the right option.

What Are All-on-4 Dental Implants?

All-on-4 dental implants are a full-arch tooth replacement solution designed for patients who need to replace most or all teeth in an arch. Instead of placing an individual implant for every missing tooth, this approach uses four strategically placed implants to support a fixed set of teeth.

The treatment is different from traditional dentures because the teeth are attached to implants and are not removed every day. For many patients, this provides improved stability, comfort, and confidence while eating and speaking.

The four implants are carefully positioned based on the patient’s available bone structure. In many cases, the back implants are placed at an angle to help use the available bone more effectively. CBCT planning helps the dental team evaluate bone quality, implant placement areas, and important anatomy before treatment.

Patients who are comparing options can also learn more about how All-on-4 differs from other solutions, including traditional dentures and implant-supported dentures.

Who Is a Candidate for All-on-4 Dental Implants?

All-on-4 dental implants is an option for adults who have multiple missing teeth, severely damaged teeth, or uncomfortable removable dentures.

A consultation is needed because every patient has different needs. Your dentist will review factors such as:

  • The condition of your gums
  • Available jawbone structure
  • Remaining teeth
  • Smoking habits
  • Teeth grinding (bruxism)
  • Overall health

Poorly controlled diabetes and some medical conditions can affect healing, so your dental team may review your health history before planning treatment.

Some patients worry that they do not have enough bone for implants. In certain situations, All-on-4 may still be considered because the implant placement approach is different from traditional implant treatment. However, CBCT evaluation is needed to determine whether additional procedures, such as if bone grafting is needed first.

The All-on-4 Dental Implant Process at Hemlock Dental Clinic

The All-on-4 treatment process includes several important stages. Each step helps create a predictable and personalized treatment plan.

Consultation and CBCT Planning

The first step is a complete examination and treatment consultation.

CBCT imaging allows the dental team to review:

  • Bone volume and density
  • Implant placement locations
  • Nerve position
  • Sinus anatomy when needed

This information helps create a treatment plan based on your specific dental condition.

Implant Placement and Temporary Teeth

During the procedure, four implants are placed to support the full-arch restoration. Read more about full-arch implant restoration guidelines here.

Some patients may receive temporary teeth on the same day. However, same-day temporary teeth are not suitable for everyone. Factors such as implant stability, bone quality, bite forces, and overall health can affect whether immediate loading is possible.

Your dentist will explain whether temporary teeth can be provided immediately or whether a different timeline is better for your situation.

Healing Period

After implant placement, the implants need time to connect with the jawbone. This process is called osseointegration.

Healing time varies from patient to patient. Factors such as bone healing, implant stability, and additional procedures can affect the timeline.

Many treatment plans include a healing period of several months before the final restoration is placed.

Final Restoration

After healing is complete, the temporary teeth are replaced with the final restoration.

The final teeth can be made from different materials depending on your needs, expectations, and treatment plan. Options may include acrylic or zirconia restorations. Your dental team will explain the advantages of each option before making a final decision.

All-on-4 vs Other Full-Arch Tooth Replacement Options

Choosing the right treatment depends on your dental condition, lifestyle, and long-term goals.

Treatment Main Difference
All-on-4 Dental Implants Fixed full-arch teeth supported by four implants
All-on-6 Dental Implants Uses additional implants when more support may be suitable
Implant-Supported Dentures Removable teeth with additional implant stability

All-on-4 is designed as a fixed solution, while implant-supported dentures provide a removable option. A consultation helps determine which choice fits your needs.

Why Choose Hemlock Dental Clinic for All-on-4 Dental Implants in Vancouver?

Choosing an All-on-4 provider is an important decision because full-arch implant treatment requires careful planning, precise placement, and long-term follow-up care.

Before starting treatment, patients should understand:

  • Who will perform the procedure
  • How the treatment plan is created
  • What technology is used during planning
  • What type of restoration will be provided
  • How follow-up care will be managed

At Hemlock Dental Clinic, Dr. Farahnaz Alavi, DDS works with patients to understand their concerns, review their dental condition, and explain available treatment options.

Patient Experience and All-on-4 Results

Every patient’s experience with All-on-4 dental implants is different. Factors such as bone condition, oral hygiene, lifestyle habits, and regular dental care can affect long-term results.

Before choosing treatment, many patients prefer to review:

  • Previous full-arch implant cases
  • Before and after examples
  • Patient reviews
  • Treatment information

Real patient experiences can help you understand what the process may involve, but individual results cannot be guaranteed because every case is unique.

I had a dental emergency. The dentist cancelled her own lunch to accommodate me (she never told me this but the front desk confirmed it). The dentist listened to my concerns and expertly fixed the problem. Honestly, I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I'm really grateful!

The first time I visited this clinic I showed up when they were closing, Zhina kindly let me in and Dr. Alavi checked my teeth patiently. After that, Dr. Alavi and her great assitants Maryam and Anandi, fixed my prolonged and difficult teeth problem in several very pleasant appointments. Dr, Alavi's skill and expertise are impeccable and most importantly, she really cares about her patients. Niki also always goes out of her way to help me out, doing extra work to make sure I get the best for my teeth, she also speaks madarin! Pendar is good at cleaning teeth too. Can't wait for my teeth to rot and I can give this great clinic another visit! ha
