Initial Consultation at Hemlock Dental
At Hemlock Dental, we offer an initial consultation for $50, providing an opportunity to discuss your primary oral health concerns. This appointment allows you to ask questions, seek a second opinion, or explore treatment suggestions. Dr. Alavi will address your concerns and present a treatment plan.

The Initial Appointment
A Comprehensive Exam
We first start with a comprehensive exam where the x rays will be taken to help the dentist diagnose your treatment plan followed with a full cleaning with polishing and fluoride to finish.
If available, any previous X-rays taken within the past year can be transferred from your previous dental office to help in diagnosis.
During this appointment, Dr. Alavi will show you your x ray and talk about the dental treatment you may need, discuss your oral habits and how to improve it, and the treatment estimated will be provided at the end of the appointment.

Financial
Our fees follow those suggested by the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, with dental insurance covering a large percentage.
We take VISA, MasterCard, debit cards, cash, and personal cheques. We require a full payment of your portion of any dental treatments after each visit. For comprehensive cases, we offer to work with third party banks and patient-financing services to arrange payment plans.
Insurance
We accept direct billing with most insurance companies, and we can handle the billing process for you. Our team is available to assist you in understanding your insurance plan. Additionally, we will manage all your insurance paperwork and obtain pre-approval for major dental treatments. Please note that you will be responsible for any outstanding costs if your claim is not fully covered.
